Skelwith Bridge to Great Langdale
A 4.8 mile (approx. 2hrs) low-level walk for poor weather, tired legs or children, with roaring waterfalls and beautiful views of the Langdale Pikes.
-
Rosthwaite to Keswick - a low level walk
A 7.8 mile (approx. 3hrs) low-level walk. I first walked this when trying to find something to do on a pouring day while staying in Keswick YHA. It has quickly become one of my favourite leisurely strolls for poor weather or aching legs!
-
Ambleside to Grasmere
5.3 miles (approx. 2hrs) walk that passes through Rydal Hall before walking alongside Rydal Water and Grasmere around the base of Loughrigg Terrace.
-
A High Street Horseshoe
A whopping 7 Wainwrights over 13.5 miles (21.7km) and 3210ft (978m) of ascent. Dramatic panoramic views are present throughout, and the route returns to Glenridding via Angle Tarn: one of the most photographed spots in Lakeland.
-
An Ullswater horseshoe (low level)
3.5 miles (approx 1.5hrs) along the Ullswater Way under the shadow of Place Fell, with impressive views stretching from Helvellyn all the way round to Pooley Bridge.
